Loyola Marymount University is pleased to host the International Business Ethics and Sustainability Case Competition, which will be held April 10-12, 2019 at the beautiful Silicon Beach campus of Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. This innovative program enables students to persuasively apply ethical reasoning to practical issues and the moral imperative of sustainable development.
The 2019 competition will keep the format and method of its predecessor in regards to analysis (legal, financial and ethical) and judging structure. The two innovations for 2019 are:
(1) Ethics issues should relate to one of the 17 globally adopted United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which focus on a wide range of social, environmental and economic issues.
(2) The intended audience for team presentations has expanded to include for-profit, non-profit and public policy organizations dealing with a business ethics issue (the audience should not be a legislative body).
