Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS)
Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) is the international honor society serving business programs accredited by AACSB International. With a global network of approximately 830,000 members, it is a prestigious society that recognizes academic excellence and leadership potential.
Following its initial AACSB accreditation in 2009, Sogang Business School (SBS) established its own BGS chapter. Since its inauguration with 35 student members in June 2010, the chapter has maintained active participation and currently boasts approximately 700 members. These members have successfully transitioned into various professional fields and corporations both domestically and internationally. In addition, the faculty members of the Business School also actively participate as faculty members of the society.
Eligibility for BGS membership is exclusively offered to Business Administration majors who rank within the top 10% of their class based on Cumulative GPA (CGPA). Grounded in the core values of Honor, Wisdom, and Earnestness (Energy), BGS provides distinguished networking and leadership development opportunities both during academic years and throughout professional careers.
Through BGS, Sogang University supports students in becoming global business leaders equipped with international perspectives and a sense of ethical responsibility. Furthermore, we strive to help them systematically cultivate the competencies required to lead as the next generation of pioneers in business and society.
